Amy & Graham´s Wedding - 13th of December, 2012

I had pending to post a few pictures of Amy on her Wedding Day last December. Amy always wanted a Christmas Wedding, and there she was on the big day, with her two sisters and two best friends as her bridesmaids, dressed in long red dresses.

Amy looked beautiful with a flawless make up and red lips, here I leave you with a few pictures from Ireland Photographer (I took the first one with my phone! ;)

Tenía pendiente colgar algunas fotos de Amy el día de su boda el pasado mes de Diciembre. Amy siempre quiso una boda navideña, y ahí está, el gran día y rodeada de sus damas de honor, sus dos hermanas y sus dos mejores amigas, vestidas de largo y en rojo.

Aisling & Eric´s Wedding- 7th of September, 2012

I got some pictures of Aisling and Eric´s Wedding, who got married in September last year in Bray, Co. Wicklow.

Some days ago, I was having lunch with a make up artist from the States, based in Dublin now. She was saying how difficult is to make brides happy and that she is not doing Wedding anymore. I suppose that she was not very lucky, because it is hard to believe that Weddings are more difficult there than in Ireland, where preparing a Wedding and make it the perfect one is a fact.

However, I have to say that I have been very lucky with my brides so far...I really enjoy doing the make up for their big day, and I remember Aisling as a beautiful and very relaxed bride. Moreover the hair stylist was my friend Sabrina, and this made it even better.

Aisling was having her best friend, her sister and her niece as  bridesmaids. They all looked beautiful in purple. I had also the pleasure of doing Aisling´s mother in law make up.

Aisling make up was soft but defined. Aisling wanted to look as having make up on, but keeping it pretty and soft at the same time.

I used Nars foundation, Make up forever (muf) blush in a very soft pink shade, a few highlighting shadows from the "Nude" pallete from Urban Decay, and the browns from Christian Dior. For the lips, Muf 67 and one of their glosses called FF69A.

The hair was made, as I said, by Sabrina, who is based in Dublin and she does not only attend Weddings, but any request! (She is brilliant doing the colour and haircuts, I can  really recommend her!).

Finalmente tengo algunas fotos que compartir con vosotros de la boda Aisling y Eric, que se casaron en Septiembre del año pasado en Bray, Condado de Wicklow.
Hace unos días, coincidí comiendo con una maquilladora de  Estados Unidos, que vive en Dublín ahora. Me comentaba lo difíciles que son las novias, hasta el punto de que ella ya no trabaja como maquilladora. Supongo que no tuvo mucha suerte, ya que es difícil creer que las bodas en U.S.A sean más difíciles que en Irlanda, donde su preparación y la búsqueda de la perfección son un hecho.
Sin embargo tengo que decir que yo he tenido mucha suerte con mis novias hasta ahora ... realmente disfruto maquillándolas para su gran día, y recuerdo a Aisling como una novia preciosa y muy relajada. Además, la peluquera era mi amiga Sabrina, y ésto hizo que el ambiente fuera aún mejor, si cabe.
Aisling tuvo a  su mejor amiga, su hermana y su sobrina como sus damas de honor. Todas en morado, que como dije últimamente, ha sido el color del 2012!
También tuve el placer de maquillar a su suegra.
Aisling quería un maquillaje discreto, suave, pero definido.
Utilicé la base de maquillaje de Nars, colorete de Make up Forever (MUF), algunas sombras de ojos de la paleta "Nude" de Urban Decay y otras de Christian Dior. Para los labios, Muf 67 y uno de sus brillos de labios (gloss) llamado FF69A.
La peluquería corrió a cargo, como he dicho, de Sabrina, que tiene su sede en Dublín y no sólo cubre bodas, sino cualquier petición! (Es estupenda haciendo el color y cortando el pelo, la recomiendo totalmente!).

Deirdre & Niall´s Wedding- 29th of September, 2012. Co Carlow

Here we go with some pictures of Deirdre and Niall´s Wedding, back in September, in Borris, Co Carlow. Photography by Andre Corvin.

The bridal party got ready in the attic suite, at The Step House Hotel. The very big windows  in a sunny day like that made a very enjoyable and relaxed morning. 

The bride knew exactly about the makeup look she wanted for her wedding the first time I met her, at the trial. She wanted to look as natural as possible. Natural does not mean  with a washed  face, but giving this natural, fresh and flawless effect that, with Dee´s beautiful skin and her smile, it was more than enough to look spectacular.

After using a primer from Smashbox, I applied Nars foundation, which is clearly one of my favorite foundations for brides. Two different shades of blush from Nars; "madly" & "orgasm", very sof Chanel eye shadows for her eyes, pencil liner "Teddy" from mac, which is a golden brown, lots of mascara (Dior black makes a very black, for those who want mark them well and last all day), and lip gloss in a peach tone.

Her bridesmaids were her two sisters and her best friend. All dressed in purple, which was definitely the color for 2012! Pretty girls, aren´t they?

And her mother, who was a bit scared at first because she´s not used to wear makeup, was thrilled with the results. She was very elegant.

Aquí os dejo con algunas fotos de la boda de Deirdre y Niall, en Septiembre del año pasado, en Borris, condado de Carlow.

Dispusimos de la suit del ático del hotel The Step House, con unos ventanales grandísimos que, en un día soleado como el que hizo, fue un verdadero gustazo. La novia tenía muy claro el look de maquillaje que quería para su boda, lo más natural posible. Natural no significa ir con la cara lavada, sino dar ese efecto natural, fresco y radiante que, con una piel bonita y la sonrisa de Dee, era más que suficiente para lucir espectacular.
Tras la prebase de Smashbox, le apliqué la base de maquillaje de Nars, que es claramente de mis favoritas para novias. Colorete de Nars en dos tonos: "madly" y "orgasm", sombras muy suaves de Chanel, lápiz liner de ojos de mac en el tono "Teddy", que es un marrón dorado, mucha máscara de pestañas (Dior hace una negra negrísima, para quien quiere marcarlas bien y que dure todo el día), y gloss de labios en un tono melocotón. 
Sus damas de honor, que eran sus dos hermanas y su mejor amiga, iban de morado, que sin duda fue el color del 2012! Muy guapas eh?
Y su madre, que en principio tenía bastante susto porque no está acostumbrada a maquillarse, quedó contentísima. Estaba muy elegante.

Jenna & Carl´s Wedding

The first time I met Jenna was on the trial for her bridal make up. However I "virtually" met her over a year before that, in a facebook group called June 2010 mammies.

Jenna got married on a Saturday, the 22nd of September 2012 in Clondalkin (Dublin). 

She got ready, together with her bridesmaids (her sister and friend) and her mom. The bridesmaids were in purple, and Jenna chose a beautiful Ivory lace dress for her big day, that enhanced her fantastic figure.

For the make up, Jenna wanted full coverage make up, and mat Smashbox foundation was used, make up forever bronzer, nars blush (madly and orgasm), chanel and christian dior eye shadows for a browny soft smokey look, and a peachy lip gloss for the lips.

La primera vez que ví a Jenna fue durante la prueba de su maquillaje de novia. Sin embargo, la conocía "virtualmente" más de un año antes de la prueba, a raiz de un grupo de mamás de Junio de 2'12010 al que pertenecemos las dos.

Jenna se casó en Sábado, el 22 de Septiembre de 2012, en Clondalkin (Dublín).

Se arregló en casa de sus padres, junto a sus damas de honor (su hermana y su mejor amiga), y su madre. Las damas de honor iban de morado, y Jenna escogió un bonito vestido de encaje marfil que realzaba su espléndida figura.

En cuanto al maquillaje, Jenna quería un maquillaje cubriente, y usamos la base mate de Smashbox, polvos bronceadores de make up forever, colorete de nars (madly y orgasm), sombras para los ojos de chanel y christian dior para un look ligeramente ahumado en marrones, y un brillo de labios con un toque de melocotón.

Stacey & Anthony´s Wedding

Here some pictures of this beautiful bride, Stacey, by photographer Tim Thornton. 

The bride´s make up was soft and classic, and she looked really stunning on her wedding dress and in company of her 4 bridesmaids and the beautiful junior bridesmaids, all of them in purple.

The products I used on Stacey were Smashbox primer and colour corrector, laura mercier concealer, nars foundation and blush, christian dior for the eyes and mac for the lips. This is how she looked on her wedding day... Again, Congratulations Stacey and my best wishes for yourself and Anthony xxx

Aquí tenemos finalmente algunas fotos de esta bonita novia, Stacey, por el fotógrafo Tim Thornton.

La novia quería un look suave y clásico, y estaba realmente radiante con su vestido de novia y acompañada por sus 4 damas de honor y la preciosidad de damita, todas ellas de morado.

Los productos que utilicé para el maquillaje de la novia fueron la prebase y corrector de color de Smashbox, corrector de laura mercier, base de maquillaje y colorete de nars, christian dior para los ojos y mac para los labios. Así es cómo lucía Stacey el día de su boda...De nuevo, Felicidades Stacey, y mis mejores deseos para tí y Anthony xxx

Karen & James´ Wedding

6th of July, 2012. Monasterevin (Co. Kildare)

Karen & James´got married back in July in Monasterevin, Co. Kildare, and had their reception in the Clanard Court Hotel, Athy. 

In spite of the rain there was a beautiful atmosphere in the house during all morning, really enjoyable, and as we say in Spain: novia lluviosa, novia dichosa...so it is a sign of good luck if your wedding day is a rainy one! 

Karen´s bridesmaids were dressed in purple, a very popular colour for weddings this summer.

Karen y James celebraron su boda en el hotel Clanard Court en Athy, tras la ceremonia en Monasterevin.

A pesar de la lluvia el ambiente en la casa durante toda la mañana fue realmente estupendo y lleno de alegría,  ya se sabe...novia lluviosa, novia dichosa!

Las damas de honor de Karen llevaban vestidos en color morado, un color de lo más popular en las bodas de este verano.

Paula & Shane´s Wedding

16th of June 2012, Drumcondra (Dublin).

Paula got ready for the Big Day at her parent´s house. The bridal party, composed of her two sisters as bridesmaids and her mam, made from a quite cold morning a beautiful and relaxed atmosphere to be working in. I so much enjoyed doing the make on these pretty girls!

I also had the opportunity to meet the photographer Luke W. Cleary, who captured every moment of this day in such a beautiful way. Thanks Luke for sending me these pictures.

16 de Junio de 2012, en Drumcondra (Dublín).

Paula se arreglaba para el día de su boda en casa de sus padres. Sus hermanas, que actuaban de damas de honor y su madre, convirtieron una mañana más bien fría en un ambiente relajado y perfecto en el que trabajar. Realmente disfruté maquillando a estas preciosidades!

También tuve la oportunidad de conocer al fotógrafo Luke W. Cleary, quién supo capturar cada momento con su cámara creando unas instantáneas perfectas. Luke, muchas gracias por enviarme estas fotos.
