Burlesque make up look

Here we go with a photoshoot we did a few months back, for a Burlesque look, with heavy make up, glitter, red crystal gems and full eye lashes.
The model for the look is the natural beauty Liene Skibuste, and I was in charge of make up and also hair this time.
The photographer during the make up/hair process is Rafa Cid, and the photoshoot took place in the Red Tree Studio in Bray by photographer Maik Sinkovec, I was blessed with such an amazing team :)
Also thanks to Natalie Da Costa for giving me a lend of the outfit.
There we go now with some pictures :)

Here a look I did a few months back, bald cap application. The theme we decided to do for this look was Steampunk. Steampunk is Victorian science fiction. Victorian intended as a time period: the industrialized 19th century. Historically, this period saw the development of many key aspects of the modern world, and steampunk uses this existing technology and structure to imagine an even more advanced 19th century.
I personally love this trend, and the use of a male model for the look. the model has naturally dark blonde hair, lots of it! :) The moustache was made with latex, make up, painting and bits of machinery.
Model: Jack Scott Shanley
Make up: Ana Aparici-Wickham Oh La Belle! make up
Stylist and hat made by: Natalie Da Costa House of Dacosta
Photographer: Rafa Cid
Location: Finnstown House

Coming from a family of musicians I get quite often inspired by music. Since I listened "Young and beautiful" by Lana del Rey for the first time, I have been loving that song.
It  talks about a lot of things in just a few minutes, most of it behind the lyrics.
This song is for me true love, the real one, which no many people is so lucky to have. It talks about death, about the death of beauty and the pass of the time, but real love does not care about that, real love is over everything, even over death.
I saw for this song the image of a death bride that would not leave the castle (or abbey in this case- Bective Abbey in Co. Meath) without her man. Just so romantic and full of hope.
I was extremely lucky to work with a very talented team for this look.
David Kavanagh, photographer: Dave Kavanagh Photography
Natalie da Costa, Head piece designer: House of da Costa
The dress was my own Wedding dress....I had less make up on my wedding!
Tania Notaro Mc Namara is singing this song and took care of the recording of it
Francesco Fusco filmed and editing the video: Harlequin studios
I am the make up artist and modelling for this look: Ana Aparici- Wickham: Oh La Belle! make up
It took me two months to recover from a chest infection, it was so freezing that day, but it was all worth it :)
Thank you all involved and hope you enjoy this video xxx

The puppet - La marioneta

This is one of the looks I did for my final exam. It is a 17th century puppet that was given to Marie Antoinette when she was a child. Marie Antoinette was then forced to get married when she was only 14 years of age, so her puppet was abandoned in an old attic since.
The costume was made by Natalie da Costa - House of Da Costa, who also modeled for this look.
The photographer is Trixie Belle
And make up by myself.
Thanks for checking this space! :) x

:) besos

Madame Truska

This is the look I came with when I was asked to do a look using crepe hair. Madame Truska is a skelk, a sea-creature that was often mistaken for being mermaids. She is able to grow fur all over her body as well as removing it again. When her family was attacked and killed, she was brought to the Cirque Du Freak to live there as it is custom for the skelks to live without contact with their species when their husband dies.
Madame Truska performs at the Cirque du Freak by growing facial hair and re attract it.
You might remember Salma Hayek, very sexy with her beard, performing in the film :)

The amazing photographer involved in this photo shoot was Colm Edwards; the beautiful model, Gabriela Molkova; my friend Emari Williams was in charge of the hair; and myself, make up and styling.
Here some pictures of the "before" and "after" the beard :)

This look is part of my sfx portfolio. First we made the angel of vengeance, a beautiful and powerful dark angel who would be then caged and battered, her wings ripped off and her body bruised.
The beautiful model for this look was Tania Notaro Mc Namara, she is not only a beauty but a great singer. Keep an eye on this space to listen to her voice ;)
The photographer was Maik Sinkovec, perfect and amazing as always, and the shoot took placed in Red Tree.
About the outfit, it could only be Natalie Da Costa. She made the outfit and the beautiful wings.
I did the make up ;)
Here some pictures of the day xxx

Photographer: Maik Sinkovec/Red Tree Studios
Model: Tania Notaro Mc Namara
Make up artist: Ana Aparici-Wickham/Oh La Belle!
Costume designer: Natalie Da Costa/ House of Da Costa
