Nars Sheer Glow Foundation Review

I am doing a review of the Nars Sheer Glow foundation (scroll down for the review in Spanish), that has become one of the must have in my make up kit. True that it is not the foundation for every skin type, but if you have the right skin type for its finish, the result is amazing, a very pretty and high quality foundation.

I have been using it for a while now, and I reckon this foundation can be perfect for bridal and special occasions if you have the right skin for it´s use. 

You will not like it if your skin is combination/oily, and like a matt well coverage finish.

I would recommend this foundation for dry skin, mature skin, and in general skins without many imperfections to be hidden. Do not worry if your skin is oily and with imperfections (like mine), I will do a review for the perfect foundation for you too. 

Just after applying the nars sheer glow foundation, you get a natural satin velvety finish, the skin radiates through your make up without making it shine too much, but brightening it up. 

The Pros:

• Great light to medium and buildable coverage and it really feels smooth, soft and light over the surface of your skin. It is very easy to apply and blend into your skin for a flawless effect. 
• It contains many skincare benefits that leave the skin hydrated, more luminous, softer and smoother. Used daily, the Sheer Glow Foundation improves the skin´s brightness and texture.
• There are 20 different shades, from the very light to the very dark, there is one shade for each of us.
• It is perfect for photographs. It has no SPF (this maybe should be a con?), but you can use the SPF on your moisturiser and also, for climates like Ireland, you can afford to wear it for a special occassion, you will be lucky if the sun shines, it will be something like a miracle! ;). However, leaving jokes aside, you should use sunscreen to avoid problems as a defence from the sun and against ageing, this is very important. So it is a different story looking for a foundation for a special occasion like your wedding or a night time event, than looking for an everyday foundation and specially if you live in a warm country where the sun shines often.

The Cons:

• Price. It costs 40 euro in BT and the bottle does not come with a pump. I do not think you can find it anywhere else in Ireland. You can also get it in Sephora, El Corte Inglés, and on the Internet. If you want to purchase a pump separately, you will spend an addition of 5 euro. The bottle contails 50 ml of product, so it is an expensive foundation.
• In regards to the length of time it stays intact on your skin, this is not probably the type of foundation that you can wear for 16 hours without a track as time passes. But if you apply a good primer and finishing powder it will get you through the day without make your skin appear oily in appearance.

Hace ya un tiempo que quería comentaros sobre la base de maquillaje Nars Sheer Glow, que se ha convertido en uno de los productos esenciales en mi colección de maquillaje. 
Es cierto que esta base de maquillaje no es para todo tipo de pieles, pero si tu piel es "apta" para su uso, el resultado es impresionante, igual que su calidad, dando a la piel un aspecto radiante, muy bonito.
Hace ya tiempo que uso esta base de maquillaje, y sin duda alguna es ideal para novias y ocasiones especiales si tu piel es la correcta para su uso.
Ya te aviso que no te va a gustar si tu piel es mixta o grasa y si te gustan las bases de maquillajes muy cubrientes y mates.
La Sheer Glow de Nars yo la recomiendo para pieles normales/secas, pieles maduras y en general sin demasiadas imperfecciones que cubrir. No te preocupes si tu piel es grasa y con imperfecciones (como la mía), os hablaré pronto de otra base de maquillaje perfecta para nosotras.
El acabado de esta base de maquillaje es luminoso, satinado, aterciopelado. La piel se ve radiante con este maquillaje, sin brillar demasiado. 


Lo positivo:

• Tiene una cobertura de ligera a media, dejando la piel muy suave y con una sensación de "no llevar nada" muy agradable. Es muy fácil de aplicar y dá a tu piel un aspecto radiante.
• Contiene muchos componentes que, con el uso, mejoran la calidad de tu piel dejándola más hidratada, luminosa y suave. Si la usas a diario, verás cómo mejora el brillo y la textura de tu piel en unas semanas.
• Hay 20 tonalidades diferentes, para pieles muy pálidas, hasta muy oscuras, así que hay un tono para cada una de nosotras.
• Es la base de maquillaje perfecta para fotografías.No tiene protección solar (igual ésto debería ser algo negativo?), pero puedes usar una hidratante con protección, además, para climas como el que tenemos en Irlanda, te puedes permitir no usar protección el día de tu boda o en ocasiones especiales, puedes considerarte afortunada si sale el sol, es todo un milagro! ;). Bromas aparte, debemos usar protección solar para evitar problemas y el envejecimiento prematuro de la piel, ésto es muy importante. Es diferente si buscas una base de maquillaje para una ocasión especial, como tu boda o algún evento por la noche, que si buscas una base de maquillaje para  uso diario, especialmente si vives en un país con un clima cálido donde el sol pega fuerte.

Lo negativo: 

• El precio. Cuesta 40 euros en Brown Thomas, y el envase no tiene dosificador. Creo que no se puede comprar en otro sitio en Irlanda. Puedes adquirir productos nars en Sephora, El Corte Inglés, y en internet. Puedes comprar un dosificador por unos 5 euros. El envase contiene 50 ml de producto, así que hablamos de una base de maquillaje bastante cara. 
• En relación a la duración del producto intacto sobre tu piel, no creo que sea el tipo de maquillaje que puedes llevar 16 horas sin cambio alguno. Pero si usas una buena prebase y polvos tras su aplicación, puedes pasar el día sin excesivos brillos.
