LIPS- PART 1. Get your lips ready for a perfect make up. LABIOS- PRIMERA PARTE. Preparar tus labios para un maquillaje perfecto.

Today I am posting a very simple treatment to keep our lips hydrated so the lipstick looks gorgeous and last longer.

Lips are constantly suffering the weather conditions, either the sun, wind, or cold…getting dried and causing that dead skin so unsightly that we cannot stop biting. Moreover by doing so, we only make it worse.

To show off beautiful lips we have to keep them hydrated, and before we do so it is recommended to exfoliate them. There is a homemade tip that is probably known by most of you, but that I am posting anyway as I usually do it myself, and it really works.

There are many products in the market to exfoliate our lips, as there are many products to exfoliate the skin of our face, but girls, there is no need to spend much money to get a brilliant result.

We just need half tea spoon of honey, and sugar. We will make a mixture with both to get a consistency that allows us to apply them without licking, so keep adding sugar if it still too runny. We will apply the mixture on the lips and massage it for about one minute approx. After this we can remove it, however I usually leave it on for an additional couple of minutes. Sugar acts as a scrub, and the honey is going to hydrate our lips, and also to leave a sweet nice flavour.

For removing the honey and sugar from your lips, use a wet cotton disc or towel.
If you are not a big fan of honey (you cannot use the excuse of being on a diet, you do not need to swallow it, and anyway it is only half tea spoon), you could also use your electric tooth brush, previously wet with water, to massage your lips.
After this we will use a product for deep hydration. I will leave it at your own taste as there are many products that can be used: butters, hydrating lip balm, etc.
How often do you have to do this? Exfoliating your lips once a week is enough, or even only when you feel them dry, but try to keep them hydrated all the time. Bring your lip balm in your bag so you can use it when you need it. Also, hydrate your lips before you go to bed, as you do with your face. Your lips will thank you!

Good start of the week to everybody!! X

Besitos
